Clan:

The Nukegara Clan is a society of religious sages located in Yugakure where most of its members are older people. This clan is known for their worship, devotions and the fact that all members have no chakra nature; because of this feature, most of its members are old people that do not believe they were born to be ninjas. 

Personality:

Satoru is a calm and simple guy. He doesn’t mind with something as long as they keep being simple. Since his childhood, Satoru always tried to help everyone thinking that he would be doing the right thing. For that reason, despite his strength, he was considered a fool by some ninjas. As a member of the Nukegara Clan, he shares traits like his love for nature, great receptiveness, deliberation and ability to meditate for weeks.

Background:

Satoru is an adventurer who, as a boy, was tasked to protect the future of his country. He has traveled the countries and learned the fighting skills of many powerful ninjas. Although his quest has made him wise, Satoru bears an immense guilt for letting Hidan destroy his village. Nevertheless, before all other things, he has always been a traveler and a student at heart.

Story:

Satoru was the youngest boy (12 years old) to become Chunin in Yugakure by showing in the Chunin Exam great valor and courage. His performance made ​​the religious sages of the Nukegara Clan to see him as a kid with the potential strength to undertake a quest for the country’s future: bring knowledge, power and balance to the current weak hidden village. Satoru, then only a child, accepted. To aid him in his quest, all the major sages reunited themselves for three days and, through a ritual, mystically instilled in Satoru an enhanced ability to observe and then wield the chakra nature and fighting abilities of ninjas he came across – what was known as the “gift from the gods".

In order to complete his quest, Satoru traveled widely through all the countries of the Shinobi World. He faced danger and adventure at every turn. In that time, Satoru made a lot of friends and was trained by many different ninjas learning everything he could. For that reason, his innate fighting talent grew dramatically as new techniques and chakra types were being assimilated.

It took Satoru nine years to complete his quest (21 years old now) and, after coming back to Yugakure, his old friend and rival Hidan was dominating most of the country imposing his strength and ideals. Nukegara Clan had been almost destroyed as much of the country. Satoru, now fully understanding this threat to the country, born from deception and resolved to stop Hidan. Though the heart of his quest now had no meaning - he wasn’t able to bring a better future to the country - having faced and triumphed over continuous dangers, Satoru had become one of the most powerful ninjas in the world. Through a closely contested fight, Satoru was able to defeat Hidan and kick him out from Yugakure.

Satoru was then, for a time, known as the hero of the Yugakure. However, he still felt some degree of guilt for let Hidan to become what he was and kill so many people in the first place. As such, he didn’t feel worthy of their admiration. After that, with the help of the remaining people, he was able to rebuild the hidden village. Satoru was then in charge of the Nukegara Clan as the new sage.

Power and abilities:

After being chosen to take the quest for the future of Yugakure, Satoru was imbued with a “gift from the gods”. This gift allows Satoru to assimilate the powers of anyone he fights and any jutsu he can see or acknowledge (which can be noted as by mere thoughts or just reading a scroll). Thus far, he has acquired the powers and chakra nature of many powerful shinobis like Hiruzen, Yamato, Haku, Zabuza, Deidara, Ōnoki, Killer Bee, Roushi, etc. Due to his otherworldly experiences with other ninjas across the countries, Satoru would undoubtedly be very powerful at this point.

Trivia:

Satoru is a japanese boy name and means “fast learner” – a reference for his ability to learn and "copy" other ninjas chakra nature and techniques;

Nukegara means “empty shell” – a reference to the fact that its members don’t have chakra nature;

Hidan was a member of the same team as Satoru as a child, but never admitted the fact that he was not chosen by the sages to take the quest;

Satoru can use almost every kekkei genkai related with chakra nature (Ice, Dust, Lava, ...) due to his ability and knowledge of them all;

His ninja's stats are all 4 with a total of 32.
